Greg Brown III is one of the most intriguing prospects to enter the EYBL in 2019, and the 6-foot-9 athletic specimen enters the circuit with a boat-load of hype. Brown averaged 33 points, 14.5 rebounds, and 5.8 blocks per game in 2018-19 for Vandegrift, and he was a walking highlight reel in the process. Brown is super-efficient playing at the high school level; he shot a hair under 55 percent from the floor and converts at a 74 percent clip at the free throw line.

Brown plays with a ferocity and competitiveness that won’t find many rivals, and when you combine it with his elite athleticism, length, and skill-set, the result is one of the best prospects in the country.

We caught up with Brown before the start of EYBL play, and the junior forward talked about a variety of topics related to his basketball journey.

Q: First and foremost, how excited are you to run in the EYBL? What are your expectations for yourself?

Greg Brown III: I'm very excited because I get to play against the best players in the country. My expectations are to win, and show everyone that I should have the label as the best player in the country.

What made you pick the Titans? What's your relationship like with the other guys on the squad?

GBIII: I felt like they were the best fit for me. We have a close relationship right now and this is before the season, so I feel like we would have an 'unbreakable bond' type relationship once we start playing with each other.

What would you say you do best on the court? What’s your calling card?

GBIII: I feel like making plays is the best thing I do on the court. Defensively and offensively making the play that needs to be made for my team to win.

What do you do for fun outside of hoops? Any hobbies in particular?

GBIII: Hang out with friends and family.

What would you be looking to do if basketball wasn’t in the picture? Any other dreams jobs?

GBIII: I'd like to be an astronomer.

I gotta ask how HedgeHog Fam. Just a sonic the hedgehog fan or how did that evolve into what it is?

GBIII: Yeah, somewhat. I had my profile picture as sonic the hedgehog for the longest and me and my friend Noah wanted to create a movement so I was just looking around on Instagram and just saw my profile picture, and thought of the idea hedgehog fam.

Won’t ask specifics for colleges at the next level, but what NEEDS to be there for you to pick a school eventually?

GBIII: A strong relationship with my coach and my teammates and a great fit.

Take me through a standard day in Greg Brown's life...any daily habits that you never break?

GBIII: I go to basketball practice or school workouts, go to school, workout after school for two to three hours and then go home.

Favorite meal?

GBIII: Favorite meal is steak.

What are you looking to improve on most in the eybl? What areas of your game are you looking to showcase?

GBIII: In general, I want to improve on my shooting more than anything. I'm looking to showcase my athleticism, playmaking, defense and rebounding on the EYBL.

Last question - favorite NBA player and why?

GBIII: Russell Westbrook, because of his 'kill' his opponents attitude.
