Nimari Burnett - Team WhyNot (CA)

Year: 2020
Height: 6-foot-3
Rank: 247 No. 23
Session Record: 4-1

EYBL Dallas Averages:

21.2 PPG, 53.3 FG%, 20-22 FT, 10-23 3PT
3.0 RPG, 4.0 APG, 2.2 SPG

Nimari Burnett continued his standout 2019 spring in Dallas as Team WhyNot rattled off a 4-1 record. Burnett shot 53.3 percent from the floor, 20-for-22 from the free throw line and 10-for-23 from distance. Burnett stuffed the stat sheet, adding 15 rebounds, 20 assists, and 11 steals for the session. The Prolific Prep (CA) product scored 58 points over the final two games of the session, shooting a blistering 20-for-29 from the floor while rarely taking a bad shot. Burnett was outstanding during Team WhyNot's run during last year's Peach Jam, and he looks more ready than ever to lead them back to prominence in North Augusta, South Carolina.

Three-year EYBL veteran Hunter Dickinson played his best session of the spring in Dallas, helping guide Team Takeover to a 4-1 session record behind some dominant interior play. Dickinson averaged 15 points and eight boards for the weekend while shooting an impressive 67.3 percent from the floor. Dickinson chipped in 15 assists and 11 blocks in Takeover's five games, and he was instrumental in their 27-point comeback win over Team WhyNot. Takeover has plenty of talent to make another run at Peach Jam, and having Dickinson produce at this rate is a must if they intend on doing so.

The 5-foot-11 Michigan State commit Jalen Terry played fairly well during the Nike EYBL’s last session in Dallas. Tom Izzo and his staff are receiving a solid athlete in the fall of 2020 and a playmaker that can impact the game right away. Terry is an efficient floor general with surprising athleticism and explosiveness at his size. Being able to hit shots off the catch or the dribble was just one skill Jalen was able to prove throughout the weekend. He will certainly make noise in the Big Ten once he arrives in East Lansing, and he has a chance to do some special things this July at Peach Jam.

Daeshun Ruffin continued his offensive onslaught against the EYBL in Dallas. MEBO’s Star sophomore was a scoring machine over five games, and the Calloway high school product did everything in his power to keep MEBO in Peach Jam contention. Ruffin went crazy against the Renaissance, exploding for a session-high 51 points on nineteen for thirty-three shooting from the field. Ruffin gets his shots up, but when he’s converting at this rate he’ll undoubtedly have the green light in July.
