Trae Young went absolutely crazy against the New York Lightning.
An EYBL Most Valuable Player candidate to start the 2016 season, Young picked up where he left off in 2015, and he was in the zone against the hometown Lightning.
The North North (Oklahoma) guard quickly turned the matchup into a blowout, catching fire offensively en route to 36 points on 14-for-20 shooting. Young proved to be impossible to contain for Dana Dingle’s squad, as his playmaking ability is among the EYBL’s elite.
There were plenty of impressive statistical performances throughout the weekend, but the dominance of Young’s performance was on another level. The stellar performance helped earn Young honors on the 1st Team All-Brooklyn, as well as Offensive Player of the Session.
Expect plenty more of this from Mr. Young as the season rolls on. He is a candidate to go for 40+ every time he steps on the floor.
