Four-star power forward C.J. Walker tells Prep Circuit he is down to five schools. Walker stood out this past AAU season with E1T1 United (FL) and added a lot of looks. He broke down each school that remains and more.
Q: What schools are included in your final five?
A: “Oregon, Arizona, Florida, Miami and LSU are my final five schools.”
Oregon: “They have a good connection with Nike and they have some guys going to the league next year, which is good to see.”
LSU: “They want me to come in and start when I get there and get a lot of minutes. They could have some guys get drafted this year so I’ll have a spot open for me.”
Florida: “Florida is close to home so I can play near family and friends. That’s a place I think I can go one and done.”
Miami: “They are right around the corner, they produce good wings and I feel like I can be good there.”
Arizona: “They came on board a little later than the others, but they have been after me hard since then. They are looking for me to start and continue to build up their program.”
Q: Have you set any official visits yet?
A: “I’m working on some, but I don’t have the exact dates just yet.”
Q: When do you see yourself ending the process and making a decision?
A: “I’ll probably make my decision in two months before the season starts and if not I’ll just make it during the season.”
Q: What recruiting pitch will resonate the most with you in the last months of your recruitment?
A: “The relationship I have with the coach will play a big role. It’s my decision, but I also want to make sure my family is comfortable with it as well. I’ll look at everything with each school on my visits.”
